Chambers Group is an environmental consulting firm with corporate headquarters in Orange County. The company currently has a part-time marketing position open. Expected work includes: research of upcoming project opportunities with public agencies; coordination,  development, and production of qualifications, proposals, and oral presentations; maintenance and updating of proposal-related project materials; Preparation of teaming arrangements and submittal materials for both prime and subconsultant proposals; Client Relationship Management(CRM) software updating for proposal and client/contact information; trade show planning and event logistics; collateral material development and maintenance; direct and electronic mail campaign development and database maintenance; other marketing duties, as needed.

Required skills include: Minimum of two years  experience preparing proposals and marketing materials; Advanced software skills including powerpoint and excel, photoshop, and CRM software; good communication skills; and an understanding of working within a service-oriented consulting firm. Degree in marketing, journalism, and/or business preferrable.

California Watershed Engineering is a civil and environmental engineering firm providing civil engineering, stormwater and watershed management, land planning, water resources engineering, environmental, and construction support services to public and private clients.

We have a challenging and fast paced opportunity for a Proposal Specialist in our Anaheim, California office.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the proposal development process including developing strategies for responding to and preparing materials, proofreading and editing drafts of documents, and handling proposal production within demanding timeframes.  The Proposal Specialist will perform marketing and business development related work assignments including the development and preparation of proposals, qualification documents, presentations, production of marketing collateral, and other marketing materials as requested.

The successful candidate must be an organized, "take charge" marketing professional, experienced in managing and preparing complex proposal and qualification packages, including SF330s, and developing multimedia presentations.  This position requires excellent writing and editing skills as well as keen attention to details.  This position is writing-intensive.  Requirements include a college degree, preferably in liberal arts, and 2+ years of similar experience in the engineering industry.  Qualified candidates should be able to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines and, when necessary to meet these deadlines, be willing to work overtime.  Candidates must be proficient in proposal and presentation production software, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

JOB: Reporting to the Marketing Department Manager, this person is responsible for preparing marketing materials to market our company's abilities and services to clients to win work/bids. Specifically, responsibilities include planning, scheduling and coordinating the development and production of proposals/presentations, statements of qualifications, brochures and related marketing materials.

Working with a wide range of technical professionals in two large divisions, Environmental and Engineering, this person will prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines, moderate meetings and drive schedules in an engineering consulting business. This person will be working with about 50 proposal/project manager level staff. Typically frequent users of these services are transportation planners and engineers, water resource engineers, and environmental planners. We are looking for an individual with leadership potential, strong writing capabilities and a "can do attitude" who can be a team player and lead teams in the production of proposals with a variety of staff members involved. The office and region are growing, leading to an expected growth in the Proposal Department. This position could grow into a supervisory role. BA degree in English, Communications or similar major and 5 years related experience. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management skills required. Must be able to work in a team and meet deadlines.

Identifies opportunities and manages team efforts for submittals, responses, interviews, presentations and related activities. Provides input, direction, and support on the development of proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and marketing collateral. Writes and coordinates awards submittals and professional paper submittals, including interviews, fact-checking, and graphics acquisition.

Provides strategic support for business development and client outreach.

Ensures document and presentation quality and consistency with marketing and branding efforts.

Work as part of AECOM's US West Region marketing team to develop marketing strategies, including strategies to penetrate new markets and strengthen existing ones, and cross sell with other AECOM business lines.  

Develops market-specific materials with an emphasis on Federal and Justice markets. Writes compelling, market-oriented text, and provide editing services for proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral.

Conducts marketing meetings to coordinate team members and efforts.

Implement systems, procedures and resources. Maintains a reporting system for marketing costs; reviews marketing performance summaries.

Manages and supports proposal preparation; manages go/no-go decision-process and strategies. Oversees maintenance of local contacts and leads database.

Prepares interview teams; participates in proposal kickoff meetings.

Responsible for coordinating materials for conferences, including booth graphics, handouts, and giveaways. Attends professional organizations and conferences; builds personal network.

Supervises marketing team.

Coordinates marketing training for all local staff. 

Requirements: Qualified candidates will have 7-10 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in an environmental, architectural, or other professional services firm is desirable.
