BDAOC is pleased to present Michael Haack a Southern California native and a product of local schools. He attended Cypress College, Cal State Long Beach and did his Masters of Urban Planning work at Cal Poly Pomona. Mike has worked for a variety of municipal agencies in Southern California including the City of Yorba Linda, and for the cities of La Mirada as the Manager of Community Revitalization and for Santa Ana as the Development Projects Coordinator through the 1980’s. In 1989, Mike was hired as the Principal Planner for the Community Redevelopment Agency for the City of Los Angeles and for eleven years he assisted the City in redevelopment projects ranging from downtown LA and Hollywood, to the San Pedro Redevelopment Project.
In 2000, Mike transitioned from LA to the City of Irvine where he now holds the position of Manager of Development Services. In Irvine, Mike is responsible for oversight of the current and advance planning activities occurring throughout the City, and in particular, the preparation and implementation of the Irvine Business Complex Residential Mixed Use Strategy approved by the City Council in 2005. Michael is also a City Planning Commissioner in Yorba Linda.
