It’s been another exciting year for BDA/OC. We’ve had some very topical programs such as "Laguna Niguel's Major Redevelopment Project", "What's New in Healthcare Development Panel" and "UCI Align-Build" panel and a number of educational workshops. The Board and its committee members have strived to continue to provide timely industry information about projects, and the trend of things to come. Our workshops are designed to promote professional as well as personal growth, while continuing to provide an atmosphere to meet new people, network, and walk away a little more enlightened. Oh, and don’t forget the network mixers. BDAOC has had a great turnout, at these casual after work events, and we will continue these gatherings, as we move into the new year.

This is the time of year to nominate, or be nominated. All you members and sponsors who want to get involved with the BDAOC organization, can take advantage of this opportunity. If you know someone that has great ideas, and enthusiasm, or if this someone is you, go ahead and nominate. There is no better way to get to know the organization, help set the tone for a fantastic year, and really get to know the members, sponsors, and attendees, that enjoy the BDAOC organization and what it has to offer. I’ve been an active board member for over 10 years. As I’ve progressed in my career as a marketing and business development professional, I find the experience to be one of the most valuable!
New for 2008!
BDAOC will be hosting our 1st annual charity golf tournament! It will be held at Black Gold Golf Course, in Yorba Linda, on June 5, 2008. We’re in the midst of planning this event, and are pulling out the stops, to make this one of the most enjoyable tournaments of the year. A portion of the proceed will go to Olive Crest Home for Abused and Abandoned Children as well as another local charity yet to be selected. This is a great way to spend the day, network, and give back to the community.
So mark your calendars! Invite a business colleague, a client, (someone you want to be a client), a golf buddy, or someone that just needs a day out of the office, and plan on having a great time!
